The contract for the Rs 286 crore five residential tower project that Tata Realty and Infrastructure Ltd (TRIL) plans to develop on prime real estate in Kochi has been awarded to construction contracting company Leighton Welspun. The Tritvam residential pro.ject is to be completed by 2014.

This is the second contract that the company has won from TRIL. Earlier LWIN has worked on the Ramanujam IT Park in Chennai. The Park with a 570,000 m² built up area comprising a mixture of IT offices, a convention centre, retail, residential, hospitality, entertainment and car park facilities is expected to be completed this year. It recently surpassed the 8 million man-hour Lost Time Incident free mark reflecting world’s best practice in safe and efficient construction practice.
